Fly Casters
This year's demonstrator schedule features another fantastic line-up of well known anglers including Eoin Fairgrieve, Hywel Morgan, Ian Gordon and Scott MacKenzie. We are also delighted to welcome Michael Mauri from Germany and Thomas Berggren from Sweden who will be joining us as first time visitors to the show.

Hywel Morgan earned his international reputation as a competition fly caster by winning both the World Championship, the European Championship and more than 100 individual British titles. In addition to this, he also holds 14 British casting records. His sensational single-hand world record cast of 80.49 metres has yet to be broken. |

Ian Gordon comes from the River Spey in Scotland and has fished since the age of eight years old. A former ghillie on the famous Knockando beat of the River Spey, Ian is now a full time instructor as well as a design consultant for Hardy/Greys. He is a World Team Speycasting Champion and a very well respected angling personality. |

Eoin Fairgrieve is a fully qualified casting member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (A.A.P.G.A.I) and World Team Speycasting Champion. At the age of 24, Eoin became one of the youngest ever instructors to qualify in both the A.A.P.G.A.I trout and salmon disciplines and has been teaching fly casting and fly fishing for over twenty years. |

Scott MacKenzie is a fully qualified casting instructor and member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Instructors (A.A.P.G.A.I). He is three times World Speycasting Champion and captained the Scottish Speycasting Team when they won the 2006 EWM World Championships in Ireland. |

Jan Erik Granbo is a consultant for Guideline as well as a guide and casting instructor from Scandinavia specializing in underhand casting techniques with shooting head lines. Returning for his second visit to the Tweed Angling Fair, Jan Erik brings to the event a unique approach to fly casting and fly fishing. |

Michael Mauri from Germany started fishing at the age of six and by age of twelve decided to pursue a career in fly fishing. Michael was inspired by the skills of casters like Sepp Prager, Lefty Kreh and Steve Rajeff. Since 1998, he has been participating in International shows and conducting single and double-handed casting clinics around the world. |

Andy Murray is a well known casting instructor, as well as a ghillie on the Tweedmill beat of the River Tweed. He’s an expert speycaster and consultant for American rod manufacturer G Loomis. Andy has travelled the world fishing and demonstrating all forms of fly casting. |

Alan Maughan is a full time Game Angling Instructor based on the River Tyne in Northumberland. He is a fully qualified member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (A.A.P.G.A.I.) and design consultant for Century Game. Alan has designed the exciting new range of Century double-handed fly rods and lines and specialises in all of the modern spey casting styles and techniques. |

Gary Champion is a leading A.A.P.G.A.I fly casting instructor based in Cornwall. Gary teaches all aspects of single and doublehanded fly casting and manages all the fly casting instruction and fly casting competitions within the main area of the event. |

Jim Curry has been teaching Fly Casting for twenty years. He holds the A.A.P.G.A.I Masters for both single and doublehanded disciplines. Based in Yorkshire he is a full time instructor and partner in the Halstead and Bolton International Sporting Agency. |

Jim Fearn is a talented fly caster and works for Guide Fly Fishing as a consultant and tackle designer. He holds the A.A.P.G.A.I Masters certificate in both trout and salmon disiplines and can be seen demonstrating fly casting at many shows throughout the UK. Jim specialises in salmon fishing and fishes extensively throughout the season in Scotland and Northern England.

Thomas Berggren is a fully qualified casting instructor based in Sweden. Thomas is an avid salmon angler and a member of Loop Tackle Design's consultancy team for product development. Thomas is an underhand casting expert with shooting head lines. |

Mathias Lilleheim is an excellent tournament caster from Norway. Mathias is a professional fitness consultant to the Norwegian Olympic delegation and coach to the Norwegian National Casting Team since 1985. He is responsible for setting up the fly casting certification programme for the Norwegian Association of Hunters and Anglers. We are delighted to welcome Mathias back to this year's show.
